Conversations with Leaders - Shay Allie

Today's guest is Shay Allie, an extraordinary woman with a wealth of wisdom and generosity. She's someone worth having a conversation with.

Shay is an entrepreneur with a portfolio of multiple businesses, and the soul of a performer.

She is passionate about giving a voice to people who are not confident enough to use their own, and to that end has established a successful career as a barrister spanning over 18 years. She is a partner in her own law firm (Aly & Hulme Associates) alongside which she works as a mediation trainer and has trained hundreds of mediators all over the world. She specialises largely in Employment Law and has been featured on BBC Radio 4, The Financial Times, The Daily Telegraph and various other media. One of her wins sparked the recent #metoopay movement.

Shay also has a long history with transformational work. She is well known on the London personal development circuit as the founder and host of Inspire’d Stage – a well respected event founded in 2014, which ran in 6 cities worldwide pre-covid.  Shay has previously featured in Psychologies and The Sunday Times in relation to her personal development work.

Outside of her legal and personal development work, Shay's interests include singing/songwriting, improv comedy and sailing.

This is Conversations with Leaders, where we explore the challenges and rewards of leaders own journeys and discuss what we'd like to see emerge as leadership, in this new paradigm, following the global rest of the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of the conversations are with more conventional leaders - CEOs, established entrepreneurs - and some are emerging leaders who embody the vision and values we need in our turbulent world.
